Who We Are

Founded by Lizbeth and Aldo Medina, Developing Trade Opportunities, is a nonprofit organization that offers an after-school construction course program designed for youth between the ages of 12-17.

Through hands-on experience, participants learn basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills, as well as safety protocols and industry-specific knowledge.

It’s mission is to equip youth with practical skills, fostering economic growth, and cultivating confidence through hands-on experience and mentorship.

DTO’s guiding principles: skill development, opportunity creation, and youth empowerment.

It’s vision is a world where every young person has equal access to trade opportunities, regardless of their background.

DTO strives to create a supportive ecosystem that nurtures talent, fosters economic growth, and cultivates a generation of skilled and confident individuals ready to contribute to their communities in a positive way.
